FAQs

Q: What percentage of benzoyl peroxide does this cleanser contain?

A: It contains 4% benzoyl peroxide, a daily-use concentration that helps clear inflammatory acne while being gentler than many higher-strength formulas.

Q: Will it bleach towels or pillowcases?

A: Yes. Benzoyl peroxide can permanently bleach colored fabrics, so it's best to use white towels and pillowcases.

Q: Can I use this with retinol?

A: Yes, but not in the same routine. Use this cleanser in the morning and retinol at night to avoid reducing retinol's effectiveness.

Q: Is this cleanser safe to use during pregnancy?

A: Benzoyl peroxide is generally considered pregnancy-compatible because absorption through the skin is minimal, but it's always best to consult your healthcare professional before starting any new skincare product during pregnancy.

Q: What if my skin feels dry when I first start using it?

A: Begin with once-daily use, follow with a moisturizer, and increase frequency gradually as your skin adjusts.

FAQs

Will this dry out my skin?

Some dryness or mild peeling is common when first using benzoyl peroxide. Start with once-daily use, follow with a moisturizer, and gradually increase frequency as your skin adjusts.

How long does it take to see results?

Many people notice fewer inflamed breakouts within 1–2 weeks of consistent use, with more noticeable improvement after 4–6 weeks. Results vary from person to person, so consistency is important.

Will it bleach towels or pillowcases?

Yes. Benzoyl peroxide can permanently bleach colored fabrics, even after rinsing. Using white towels, washcloths, and pillowcases is recommended while using this cleanser.

Can I use this with retinol or other acne treatments?

Yes, but avoid using benzoyl peroxide and retinol in the same routine because benzoyl peroxide can reduce retinol's effectiveness and increase irritation. A common approach is using this cleanser in the morning and retinol at night.

Is this cleanser safe to use during pregnancy?

Benzoyl peroxide is generally considered one of the safer topical acne ingredients during pregnancy because very little is absorbed through the skin. However, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it's always best to consult your healthcare professional before adding a new skincare product to your routine.
